My Favorite Skincare Brand of All Time!

Friday, June 30, 2017

If you haven't already, meet Tatcha - my favorite skincare brand as of late. I first discovered this brand years and years ago when Tatcha's Aburatorigami Japanese Blotting Papers landed in my Birchbox. Since then, I was familiar with the brand, and it wasn't until last year when I dived into this Japanese goodness.

Tatcha is a Japanese skincare brand that is inspired by geisha beauty regimens from centuries and centuries ago. Their products are free of all the not-so-good ingredients that your future face will thank you for down the line. My best friend's mom swears by this brand because of its gentle and effective ingredients and she uses nothing else but Tatcha on her face, morning and evening. Well, now I'm on board as well. I love how Tatcha lives and breathes "simplicity and authenticity" and none of their products have let me down so far.

This skincare brand really caters to each person's specific skin type - they have "rituals" for Dry Skin, Normal Skin, Oily Skin, and Sensitive Skin. My skin type can be a bit tricky. Generally, I have dry to normal skin, and it tends to get sensitive on me from time to time. Though I have dry to normal skin, it produces oil from time to time throughout the day, so I prefer to use a gel-like formula for moisturizer, instead of a thicker or cream formula.

Here's a selection of my all-time favorite Tatcha products that are perfect for a morning ritual:

On the downside, because these products have ingredients that are super top-notch, the price point will definitely reflect that. You can always get samples from Sephora to test out the products and wait for one of their Insider / VIB / VIB Rouge sales to purchase! Trust me, Tatcha is worth it.

OH, and did I mention that their packaging WINS? I love how much thought went into the packaging - from the receipt to the box... to everything.

If you're new to Tatcha and don't know where to start, I recommend starting out with one of their Rice Enzyme Powders!
