Drugstore Makeup Favorites / September 2017

Monday, September 18, 2017

Have I talked about drugstore makeup on here yet? If not, it's never too late! As much as I love semi-high-end and high-end makeup, I never cancel out drugstore options. There are so many dupes of high-end makeup at the drugstore that will make you feel like a million bucks. Today, I'm sharing with y'all my favorite drugstore makeup for this month!

Milani Retouch + Erase Light-Lifting Concealer

Since I'm not a full-coverage foundation type of gal, concealer is a must in my makeup routine. It's hard to find a drugstore concealer that doesn't crease, but my search is complete. This Milani concealer applies smoothly, and the cushion tip applicator makes my life so much easier.

NYX Illuminator (Chaotic) / Away We Glow Liquid Highlighter (Moonbeam)

I don't usually highlight, but when I do, I like going for peachy tones. It's something about the hint of pink that draws me near! Peachy highlighters tend to not look so "flashy" on my skin, which is what I'm going for - subtle all the way, baby

Soap & Glory Supercat / Supercat Skinny

Since when did Soap & Glory come out with makeup? I'm not too sure, but I'm not mad about it. Their liquid eyeliners are a great drugstore option, and they come in several different "sizes" - by the thickness of the eyeliner brush. Here I have the regular Supercat and the Supercat Skinny - I don't mind the regular Supercat, but I like the Supercat Skinny more since I tend to draw in my liquid eyeliner in small strokes. And if you're feeling extra, check out the Supercat Fat Eyeliner

L'Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Washable Mascara

Absolutely yes, this product does live up to its hype. This is my current go-to mascara - I can definitely say that this is the best drugstore mascara that I've ever used (so far). My lashes are sparse and this stuff helps to elongate and separate lashes, while giving the volume that they (totally) need. I'm thinking about getting the waterproof one as well!

Maybelline Color Sensational Shaping Lip Liner

Lip liners will be lip liners. I'm not usually too picky about lip liners, so I didn't have high hopes for these. They get the job done, and it's convenient to have drugstore lip liners so that you can buy a few shades for the range of lipsticks you have. These are pretty useful for lipstick days, but I do recommend applying on hydrated lips!

L'Oreal Infallible Matte Lip Paint (Peach Pit, Festival) / Infallible Metallic Lip Paint (Liquid Venom)
These are fairly new to the market, and have been so good to me. Liquid lipsticks (or paints) are usually uncomfortable, but not these babies. They're pigmented, glide on comfortable, and dries really nicely (whether it's matte or metallic). As you can tell, I like colors along the lines of nude pink to dusty rose - they're the perfect "my lips but better" color!

Hope y'all liked this drugstore makeup round-up. Stay tuned for more!
